Usually
this would not justify another blog entry, but I somehow want to motivate myself
and post a little more frequently. Especially since I’m crafting rather a lot
currently.
So what
have I been doing?
Just now
all lids are finally glued to their specific boxes (I even managed to make one
for Uri halfway open and another for the flamearrow a little) and all boxes are
finally painted as well @.@. Took much longer than expected again.
Plus I
worked at the special special flowery rivets for just another one of Gokudera’s
many leather wristbands… And I even finished his belt buckle as well. Both a
challenge made out of fimo light, later coloured and varnished. Somehow I more
or less like the outcome ^-^.
Before and after painting. Three of the flower-rivets belong to the wristband, one will maybe most decoratively attached to my backside on the belt...
So next
step: Making 192 tiny bonefragments, glueing all the stuff to the boxes/wirstbands/belt
and painting the silver frames onto the boxes. Stay tuned if you like…
Otherwise I
only did some thorough recherché:
First I
looked for fanarts of Locke Cole from Final Fantasy VI cause it’s simply impossible to cosplay his
game sprite xD and I don’t like the celebrated Amano artworks of him for some
reasons…
Locke Cole ("original version")
Second I
looked for quite some other references for my book cosplay this year. In other
words I reread quite some chapters of A Dance with Dragons (A Song of Ice and
Fire – Series) by G.R.R. Martin just to skim them through in search of
everything describing “Young Griff”s (possibly Aegon Targaryen) appearance. I
didn’t find much though… Mostly these few paragraphs sum it up:
”He was a lithe and well-made youth, with a lanky
build and a shock of dark blue hair. The dwarf put his age
at fifteen, sixteen, or near enough to make no matter.” p. 119 ADWD – A
Song of Ice and Fire; Tyrion Lannister’s first impression of Aegon
““The
lad was shorter than Duck, but his lanky build suggested, that he had not come
into his full growth. This beardless boy could have any maiden in the Seven Kingdoms,
blue hair or no. Those eyes of his would melt them. Like his sire, Young
Griff had blue eyes, but where the father’s eyes were pale, the son’s were
dark. By lamplight they turned black, and in the light of dusk they seemed
purple. His eyelashes were as long as any woman’s.” p. 182-183 ADWD – A Song of
Ice and Fire; Tyrion Lannister about Aegon
“His
silvery hair was blowing in the wind , and his eyes were a deep purple, darker
than this boy’s.” p. 812 ADWD – A Song of Ice and Fire; Jon Connington about
Rhaegar Targaryen
“The prince
wore sword and dagger,
black boots polished to
high sheen, a black
cloak lined with blood-red silk. With his hair washed and cut and freshly dyed a deep, dark blue,
his eyes looked blue as well. At his thorat he wore three huge square-cut rubies on a chain of black
iron, a gift from Magister Illyrio. Red and black. Dragon colors. “ p. 309 ADWD – A Song of Ice and Fire
And lastly I asked lenia@animexx.de
about her thoughts of how to style a wig for Jun Tao from Shaman King. It
already sounds like a lot of work and uhm… I’m a little afraid actually I might
mess up…

I approve posting more frequently!
AntwortenLöschenAlso that belt buckle and those flower thingys look nice. :)
Oh, thanks :). I'm happy as well. Usually things I make out of fimo don't turn out that well.
AntwortenLöschenI'll try. Sometimes I'm a little lazy regarding this or the cosplays were more important than blogging about them. Didn't write about quite some last year in fact.
