Still it sadly lies dormant in a corner for a while cause after the con is before the con. And yes, next weekend it's already time for bookfair Leipzig (LBM), which can be counted as one of the greater cosplay events in Germany. It even gets its own con this year o.O. Really curious about this. Oh and as the mangaka of Ao no Exorcist is going to attend it, I chose to cosplay Okumura Rin again after a while :). Really looking forward to it.
For saturday I made the mistake of not being able to say no and neither being able to choose... cause I already said I'd take part in a small but nice Magi group and finally debute Alibaba Saluja :) but on the other hand... a big Fullmetal Alchmist gathering is scheduled that day -.-'' and as I still really love Ling Yao and a friend is even accompanying me as my half-sister Mei Chang... well... You see my problem.... I guess if I get Alibaba finished I'll change halfway through that day. Although this cosplay is really one of the cosplays that bugg me the most of all. First of all I had to order 3, I repeat 3!, wigs till I was more or less satisfied, second I lost the ribbon I bought at the Dutch fabric market last weekend and couldn't find a substitute anywhere this week... so that I am going to sew a ribbon out of rests of fabric now... and third I have never cut myself as much and had as much trouble as with making the blade of his damn metal vessel -.-''''.
I used a box cutter to cut the PVC plate and to give the knife its edges which took 4 tries for 2 sides, as already said quite some cuts and a whole afternoon... Afterwards I used a pencil to incise the markings. Which worked of course well for the Star of David but not so well for the larger area. But I'm rather satisfied now and going to paint it and to continue with the hilt tomorrow. Going to make it out of Fimo light mostly.
The shirt and the trousers are ready as well and wearing the latter is quite funny since they remind me of a sleeping bag for small children xD. So I still need to finish the ribbon, the sash and most important the coat and to style the wig.
On the other hand I already worked in advance. Visited Chigo for two great sewing sessions. :) (Which became quite chaotic as the train traffic was chanceled the first morning and we had a power blackout the other day o.O'') So the parts of our Fruits Basket theater cosplays are already finished. Only the sleeves and collar need to be attached and the decorations and the boot covers are still to be added as well.
I also prepared the pattern for Squalo's trenchcoat. And yes, somehow came up with the wish to cosplay his ringbattle version for real now after rpging with Teufelsodem again and falling in love... with the character of course!
And I also started with my cosplay for LBM sunday as well. It's an own creation by Wickedy. Khan from Mulan as a gijinka. I already sewed the coat out of grey artificial leather which reminds me of a rain coat currently... but I can't continue since the artificial velour leather I want to hem it with hasn't arrived yet -.-'''. And sorry no pics taken yet.
But I can show you something else. Yes, my dominator puzzle xD
I really love the outcome up till now :). Currently I only need to cut some more cannals for the LEDs and the battery on the inside and to sweat the LEDs together. Learning this was fun :). Already sweated three of them xD. Oh and of course before adding the LEDs I need to glue everything together and to spray-paint it.
So that's it from the cosplay front. Exreme cosplay working currently cause I'm waiting for the outcomes of my two job interviews.
