About Teamwork, kitties and a dead animal

Soo… It’s still early in this year but I’m already quite busy with preparations. I started my work or rather we started our work on Drakon and Sinbad from Sinbad no Bouken, the Magi prequel. And yes, I know that’s rather a challenging project xD. But still it was fun to have the opportunity to work together with HaouJudai@deviantart.com.  We had a very funny weekend in Munich together consisting  of shopping, cooking, crafting and fooling around of course as well^^.

In the end she styled my wig and I started painting her edging and I think both looks already very promising.

Besides the beautiful model in the fourth pic is Zelda, my roommate’s cat. :) I really have come to adore Zelda and her brother Link although they have a mind of their own and leave a lot of hair on my stuff.^^

 Besides painting something like this takes me ages in the evening ^^'''... already have been painting for about 2 weeks roughly one hour per day and I've got one third ready ^^'''....

Some days later I got me nearly the rest of my materials at Karstadt. I have to say though: Munich is a terrible place if you want to shop fabric in Germany as there seem to be only two alternatives while I know of about 4 shops in Cologne just in the inner city! And I really tried to find some more shops and make a map out of my recherché… well… I didn’t find many and they were rather very expensive most likely due to the rental charge in Munich.

But I got me dark red velvet for Drakon’s cape, fabric for Rudy’s scarf and cuffs and I couldn’t walk a way from this particular fur since it just happened to remind me of Uri (KH Reborn!) and I want to make a plushie out of it now xD. 

Although Munich is a bad place to shop fabric, it’s a great place regarding flea-markets *-*.  Celebrating the birthday of two friends we went to the night flea-marke, which was a really great experience. There is life music there and quite some treasures to be found. I happened to bring home ‘my dead animal’ xD or in other words a coat I want to shape into Bard’s coat from the Hobbit ^-^. It’s made out of real leather and possibly fur ^^’’…. But if my luck continues it will become a surprisingly inexpensive cosplay in comparison :).

 As it seems I didn't take a good picture of it yet. So I'll post one in my next blog entry.

Besides all of this I continued work on a cosplay which had been nearly finished already back in late 2012. But I decided to work more on Young Griff from A Song of Ice and Fire as it has already taken so long and I somehow want to make this cosplay special now. So I put some more work into details on the leather vest and finally started to make a bezel for the red stones. Oh and I got me a sword from all theses current sales for karneval. Trousers and some accessories as leather wristbands, dagger, belt and last but not least the wig unfortunately are missing in this preview. But they are already in my possession.

I’m sorry about the quality of some of the pictures as we took them with the cam of my smartphone. But I don’t have other ones and I guess for a blog it’s just Ok.
