Progress from the lance front xD and some Avatar intermezzo

So, it's now about two month later and I have to admit... that my progress isn't really visible in case of Freya's lance although I rasped quite a bit.
But as I have to do two sides so all pieces twice and also had to rasp again after glueing every single part... it takes time. Also of course Christmas and the turn of years was busy. And I started with a new cosplay in between as I will need it before Freya's lance.
But first let me show a photo:

As you can see in here the formerly flat boards got into shape quite a lot and except for the ball and the lower rim everything is already glued into place as well. Just have to do some adjustments to that rim as it doesn't sit accurate enough yet to my mind and I'm currently thinking when I have to add the ball as spray painting the rest will be a lot easier and painting the ball differently as well if I leave it off till later.

Now just that tiny adjustment and the beads of the upper part are missing. And... the whole lower part -.-'''. But I take a break currently working on my cosplay for LBM (bookfair in Leipzig) or MCC Manga Comic Convention in midMarch. Going to cosplay Zuko again one day. But this time I finally planned his team avatar version. If everything works out I'll have a great group with a very realistic Azula ^^''. (Although I'm atm in trouble again to find a place to stay... but somehow I will manage...)

So far after Christmas or rather during the first days of the new Year I was at least as diligent that I have already sewn Zuko's undergarment.

I even put lining into the sleeves and it already looks nice although not very special xD. I think I could wear it in every day life in fact xD. Still one thing is bugging me. Although I topstitched with goldenyellow thread it isn't really visible from more than a meter away... sooo I think about enhancing the effect a bit more... if I have still time.

Also started sewing the trousers :) and am halfway done now. Just have to adjust the crotch and do the upper and lower hems. Here's a picture of the trousers when they were just basted. But it's no great difference from now.

These are the first trousers which somehow adjust themselves nicely xD. I can sew them as long as I want, don't have to insert elastic at the bottom xD very great.
As soon as I'm finished hopefully till the weekend I'm going to work on a very very very late cosplay related birthday present for a friend and start work on Zuko's "coat". Going to put in lining as well and to appliqué again. So it's by far the most difficult part of this cosplay. Although hopefully not so difficult in comparison to others as I already practised appliquéing while working on his ember island outfit :).

Oh and I totally forgot:
This little guy is going to join me at LBM.

So even if the group won't be present at the same day I won't be alone or will be alone but at least authentically alone xD.
